The USE family of companies offers full-service, award-winning plumbing, piping, HVAC, and sheet metal construction, service and maintenance. RECRUITER/HR GENERALIST The Recruiter/HR Generalist is a crucial support function in the seamless delivery of human resources services through varied functions such as sourcing, screening, selection and diverse recruitment outreach efforts. This role will also contribute towards creating a positive candidate experience, onboarding, engagement, performance management, employee relations, and implementation of HR initiatives.Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Assists with workforce planning initiatives by proactively sourcing and building a strong candidate pipeline through various channels such as internal talent, job boards, professional networks, social media platforms, industry-specific forums among other sources. 
  • Administers end-to-end recruitment processes, partners with the HR Business Partner to craft compelling job advertisements to conducting interviews and negotiating offers.
  • Consults with hiring managers to understand the roles and profiles of ideal candidates; assesses applicant qualifications through their education, experience, and training.
  • Conducts phone screens to assess candidate suitability, coordinates, and schedules interviews; prepares and extends job offers; and communicates with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing updates and feedback.
  • Completes all steps necessary to accurately report on talent acquisition metrics as well as ensure adherence to the company’s Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action programs.
  • Coordinates the onboarding of newly hired team members, including facilitating pre-employment background checks and drug screens, verifying employment eligibility, scheduling new hire orientation meetings and activities.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture in a variety of ways like supporting Engagement Survey initiatives, conducting stay or exit interviews as needed, coordinating events, and/or assist the Senior HR Business partner with investigations.
  • Maintains employment records throughout the employment life cycle, ensuring all new hire, promotions, status changes, and exits are accurately documented and updated in the system.
  • Provides timely responses to general HR related inquiries.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related discipline is strongly preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Must have minimum of 3 years’ experience, and proven success with full cycle recruiting.
  • Additional experience within another human resources functional area is a plus.
  • Recruiting experience within the construction and/or engineering industries is preferred.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Ability to maximize performance of project team through innovative and effective management techniques.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, such as diplomacy, persuasion, etc. are essential to develop and foster effective professional relationships.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic level of financial acumen necessary to manage project budget/performance.
  • Knowledge of the following computer programs: MS Word, Excel. Experience with project management software a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-management skills.
  • Ability to navigate a construction site.
Benefits and Compensation:
  • The range for this position has been established at $64,960 to $91,756 and is US Engineering Construction’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
  • Your total compensation will go beyond the number on your paycheck. Team members are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance as well as paid time off. An industry-leading benefits package including health, dental, and vision plans, matching retirement contributions, and matching 529 contributions all add to your bottom line.
