U.S Committee for Refugees & Immigrants is Hiring a Case Aide -bilingual Near Atlanta, GA

 OVERVIEW

 The Bilingual Case Aide will work with staff in the maintenance of social service cases by assessing client needs, assisting in the development and implementation of service plans, recommending and obtaining services, gathering information necessary for case managers to assist clients in obtaining services that will provide living arrangements appropriate to the clients identified need.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Support clients with housing transitions, challenges, and crises, including landlord mediation and emergency financial assistance;
  • Assist Case Mangers with file maintenance by updating case management systems, reporting databases, and physical files; maintain confidentiality of information;
  • Providing language (see preferences below) and cultural competency support during intake and educational workshops
  • Help conduct outreach to refugee populations; and
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Prior experience in providing resettlement services is strongly preferred;

  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with providers, vendors, and clients of diverse backgrounds;
  • Knowledge of MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel and database programs.
  • Bilingual/multilingual ability is strongly preferred – Ukrainian, Dari, Pashto,;
  • Must have a valid driver's license, insurance, clean driving record and personal transportation; and
  • Must have dedication to human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and displaced people.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

Satisfactory completion of USCRI’s Orientation and Training; and

Complete additional training as identified by supervisor or Human Resources.

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
  • Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
