TURN Community Services is on a mission to help people with disabilities learn valuable skills and live happier, more independent lives. We're hiring a part-time Supported Employment Specialist to join us in our mission and help our clients attain long-lasting employment.

OUR STORY
Formerly known as Project TURN, we were founded in 1973 by a group of parents who wanted better services for their adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Now known as TURN Community Services, we provide resources to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities. With locations from Brigham City to St. George, we offer a full range of services including day programs, residential living, art center programs, summer camp, and supported employment opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS
DAY-TO-DAY
As a part-time Supported Employment Specialist, you oversee program enrollment, develop training curricula, and actively seek out job opportunities. This is a dynamic role where you play a heavy hand in the personal and professional development of our clients! Firstly, you encourage program enrollment by engaging in community outreach activities and spreading the word about TURN. As students sign up, you perform skill and knowledge assessments to help determine what kind of training would benefit each individual the most.
You help train students in areas such as life skills, job skills, and soft skills. As they grow more confident, you speak with local business owners to help connect our students with great job opportunities. You provide on-the-job support as needed and foster independence by helping clients learn how to use transportation systems or apply for additional resources.
