SUMMARY
The Social Worker serves the student whose social, emotional, and/or family problems interfere with his/her capacity to function adequately within an educational environment. The Social Worker professionally assesses the problem(s) in order to provide and refer for interventions that help eliminate barriers to learning. Interventions may include the school, family, and/or community resources.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSCurrent License as Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral HealthMaster's degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school of social workArizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) Provider

FBI fingerprint background check.

Effective: 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR Site: Exceptional Education Department - Location: Multiple Sites - District-Wide
FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day Work Calendar: 9.5 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on the salary schedule, please reference the Employee Agreements Webpage.
Probationary Contracts will be issued for any positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
