TSNE is Hiring a Senior Associate, Marketing & Communications Near Boston, MA

Responsibilities

The Senior Associate, Marketing & Communications is responsible for supporting the development, planning, and implementation of communications and marketing tactics on behalf of TSNE. This role will be influential in managing internal communications, the implementation of marketing and communication strategies (through content development, project management, and community management, and more), providing proactive project management, while overseeing all communications and marketing systems and data processes. This role, in collaboration with the marketing and communications team, will be responsible for building and maintaining TSNE’s brand awareness, promoting TSNE programs and services, and cultivating TSNE’s internal and digital community.

Essential Functions

Communications & Marketing Content Development – 50%

  • Infuse TSNE’s core values centering Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in the implementation of communication and marketing efforts.
  • Lead the development of TSNE’s internal communications plan (including supporting fiscal sponsorship communications) through content strategy, development, and coordination.
  • Cultivate and develop marketing and communications content (i.e., blog, social media, paid media/ads, email marketing, etc.) by collaborating with communications team and TSNE staff and partners, including monitoring and reporting on KPIs and data related to all marketing and communications efforts
  • Manage the conducting of market research, competitive intelligence, and needs-assessment initiatives to guide events and brand development in collaboration with the communications team.
  • Support the communications and marketing team in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of all communications and marketing content.

Project Management & System Maintenance – 30%

  • Collaborate cross functionally and within the communications and marketing team to manage project goals, work plans, and deliverables for multiple marketing and communications projects (including assisting with outside vendors).
  • Oversee all marketing and communications systems and processes to ensure brand maintenance, efficiency, effectiveness, and usability; including managing TSNE’s website, editorial calendar, our project management processes, and TSNE’s internal communications hub.
  • Provide event logistics support as needed (including assisting with live posting at events, assisting with webinars, and assisting with in-person events).

Community Management– 20%

  • Manage and oversee TSNE’s external communications channels and media listening channels, while actively engaging TSNE’s online audiences.
  • Collaborate on content development and strategy for TSNE’s content channels (i.e., blog, social media, presentations, etc.) in collaboration with the communications and marketing team to ensure the production of high-value content across multiple channels.

Complete other tasks and projects related to the position, as needed.

  • At least 4 years' experience in content development, communications, marketing, and/or public relations with familiarity in nonprofit communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (including copywriting and editing).
  • Committed to and have the ability to support and promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in all communications, both internally and externally.
  • Thrives and is effective in a multicultural setting working with people from diverse backgrounds, traditions, customs, and personalities.
  • Proven successful project management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with M365 SharePoint Online, Asana (or other project management system), HTML, and CRM experience is a plus.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

The physical demands described for this position are that of a typical office environment. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions. Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time in front of a computer screen is an essential aspect of the position. There may be a need to lift and/or move materials or equipment.

Location: Work will be performed between our office located at the NonProfit Center at 89 South Street, Suite 700, Boston, MA 02111 and your home office. This position is required to be on-site up to one day per month and may require flexibility.

Schedule: This position is full-time at 37.5 hours per week and hours are flexible within reason.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: The salary for this role is $80,750/annually, paid bi-weekly at $3,105.77.
