Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our properties. The Property Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of properties, maintaining tenant satisfaction, and maximizing property occupancy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, maintenance, and tenant relations
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards
- Coordinate and oversee property maintenance and repairs
- Advertise available units, screen potential tenants, and conduct lease negotiations
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and conflicts in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of property finances, including rent payments, expenses, and budgeting
- Implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants and maintain high occupancy rates
- Stay updated on local housing laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other professionals to ensure efficient property management
Experience:
- experience in property management or related field
- Proficiency in data entry and property management software (e.g., OneSite)
- Knowledge of Section 8, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other affordable housing programs
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for tracking maintenance requests and repairs
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Proven ability to handle conflict resolution in a professional manner
- Sales experience is a plus
