Overview
As the Human Resource Manager, you hold direct accountability for overseeing, coordinating, and evaluating the human resource function. Your role encompasses diverse responsibilities across key functional areas, employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, as well as ensuring compliance with employment laws. In this role you will partner closely with the VP of People and work together. As the HR Manager, your presence on-site is required five days a week.
Responsibilities
Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures the organization's compliance
Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance
Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed
Ability to administer human resource programs including, but not limited to, benefits, leave of absence, payroll, occupational health and safety, and more
Ability to partners with the VP of People on employee relations matters
Recommend and oversee implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives, including developing business-specific DEI strategies and plans
Consults with VP of People on personnel matters
Develops and maintains Paycom (human resource information system) that meets the organization's personnel information/people data needs
Supervises staff as needed
Participates in special projects and seeks additional responsibilities Requirements
Bachelor's degree and at least five years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential required

Proficiency with Paycom
Experience within a technical company is preferred
Spanish bilingual is preferred
