In this critical role, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety of commercial buildings. You'll lead a crew in installing fire alarm systems, ensuring flawless operation and peace of mind for occupants.
Here's what you'll do:- Installation Expert: Lead your team in installing fire alarm devices, wiring systems, and performing essential construction tasks for successful project completion.
- Technical Prowess: Demonstrate a solid understanding of electrical functions and enforce industry standards, electrical regulations, and construction requirements.
- Project Management Pro: Interpret project drawings, identify efficient installation methods, and ensure all materials and equipment are prepped and ready.
- Communication Champion: Serve as the primary customer contact on-site, providing daily updates to the Foreman and Project Manager.
- Detailed Documenter: Maintain accurate project documentation by entering daily summaries, and ensure timely completion of all final project documents.
- Troubleshooting Wizard: Identify and resolve system issues to keep projects on track and meet deadlines.
- Team Leader: Motivate and guide your crew, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Trainer & Mentor: Share your knowledge and expertise by training and developing your team's skills.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:- Extensive Experience (5 years): Proven track record in construction and/or low-voltage installation.
- Low-Voltage Expertise (3 years): Solid experience installing low-voltage systems in commercial environments.
- Leadership Skills (2 years): Experience leading and motivating teams to achieve goals.
- Education: High school diploma (or equivalent).
- Valid Driver's License: Valid California Driver's License and proof of auto insurance.
We also conduct pre-employment drug screening in accordance with Federal Contractor regulations and background checks in accordance with State and local regulations.
Work Environment:- Be prepared for diverse work locations including construction sites and commercial buildings.
- The role requires occasional work at heights, in extreme temperatures, and in confined spaces.
- You'll perform tasks such as driving for extended periods, walking, bending, stooping, lifting equipment (50 lbs), and working in various temperature variations.
