SUMMARY:
Experienced Fire Alarm Technician to install fire alarm systems in new and existing buildings in all types of construction using conduits, hangers, cabling, alarm devices, and panels. Experienced Fire Alarm Technicians layout, assemble, install, and maintain the system and related equipment for various types of fire alarm systems.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. OSHA-10 and/or CPR and First Aid Training must be completed within the first 3 months of employment.

Physical Requirements:
1. Standing: Remains in standing position to perform various functions of the job.
2. Climbing: ascending and descending ladders and the like.
3. Crouching: Bending the body downward or forward by bending the leg and spine.
4. Handling: Seizes, helps, or works with hands.
5. Lifting: Raises or lowers tools and piping.
6. Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
7. Vision: visual acuity to be thorough and accurate in the work assigned.
8. Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
9. Talking: Communicating by phone and in person.
10. Walking and moving about on foot.

Travel Expectations
Some traveling may be necessary for out-of-town jobs. Accommodations will be provided as necessary.
Work Hours
This job is full-time and requires regular work hours. Employees are provided two 10-minute rest periods for every four hours of work. Meal periods of 30 minutes or more must be taken before the 5th hour of work and must be clocked out/in for. Employees are relieved of all duties during their meal and rest periods and are prohibited from working and/or being available to work during each of them. If the meal or rest periods are not provided or taken for any reason, HR must be notified, and the employee is provided meal penalty premium pay.
