DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist clients in applying and troubleshooting SOLIDWORKS CAM and Mastercam tools in their design/development, analysis, and manufacturing tasks
• Ensure customers are successfully engaged and utilizing SOLIDWORKS CAM and Mastercam, and related products, through telephone, web, email, and onsite communication
• Exercise of problem-solving skills and processes to assist our clients
• Determining and setting priority levels on customer issues to ensure timely and effective responses
• Obtaining relevant certifications in SOLIDWORKS and Mastercam, and related products where required
• Developing and writing articles for company newsletter, generating additional technical content including videos, blog posts and white papers, and determining or preparing documentation for technical skills for new SOLIDWORKS and Mastercam releases
• Extensive use of Oracle NetSuite, Dassault Systèmes client and support, and Mastercam web portals
• Limited travel, only required for visiting clients on occasion to provide additional or escalated on-site support and to attend in-person training

REQUIREMENTS

• Two years or more of Industry experience in the field of design, engineering, and/or manufacturing, (this can include years in school toward a degree in these fields)
• Skills and Knowledge:
  • Existing experience with 3D CAD/CAM modeling. SOLIDWORKS and Mastercam are preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills (individual, group, in person and via electronic media internally and with clients)
  • Prior customer service experience an asset
  • Forward-thinking troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with various drafting standards and engineering practices
  • Understanding of vast manufacturing terminology and processes
  • Requires understanding of Microsoft Windows, PC hardware, and computer networking, as well as MCAD/CAM solid modeling software
  • Work both independently and as part of a team is essential
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and long-term projects

Desirable:

• Associates or B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or similar is preferred
• Existing experience with 3D CAD/CAM modeling such as SOLIDWORKS and Mastercam are preferred.
