OVERVIEW:

Trilogy Innovations is seeking students interested in Software/System Engineering for our 2024 Summer Technical Internship program in Morgantown, WV. During this internship, you will gain exposure to all aspects of the software development lifecycle including, architecture and design, coding, and automated testing within an Agile and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery model. You will join an energetic team that is focused on providing our customers with excellence in professional solutions and only the best in quality results. The Software Development Intern will partner up with our team of experienced Technologists, and will be involved in the full software development life cycle of various projects. The intern will have the opportunity to learn and apply industry-standard software development practices and technologies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Design, develop, and troubleshoot critical software source code using modern software development languages and tools.

Participate in the full software development, working within defined parameters.

Use Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and GitLab to manage work and collaborate with your teams.

Support creation and updating of relevant documentation for design, development and testing.

Identify potential roadblocks and develop around them.

Design maintainable code that matches specification.

Develop automated tests leveraging a continuous integration process.

Work closely with team engineers to develop the best technical design and software solutions

Work with the software development team to understand requirements and design software solutions

Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality software

Debug and fix defects in software

Write unit tests and perform testing on software modules

Document software design and implementation

Stay up-to-date with new software development technologies and programming languages

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles

Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, C , etc.

Good communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Passion for software development and technology

Familiarity with JavaScript and JS frameworks such as Node JS and Angular.

Strong understanding of software development process fundamentals.

Self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques.

Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (U.S. CITIZENS) 

Location: Morgantown and Bridgeport, WV Offices / Hybrid-telework (occasional onsite visits, optional. Offices are used for collaborative work)

Duration: May-August 2024

Compensation: $15/hr
