Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to the lead teacher in a classroom setting, assisting with various tasks to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment for students. This is a paid position.
Location:
- 1751 Park Ave, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10035
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Support students with their individual learning needs
- Provide one-on-one or small group instruction as directed by the lead teacher
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a positive and inclusive classroom culture
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher
- Assist with administrative tasks such as grading, record keeping, and preparing materials
Required Credentials/Certificates:
- Minimum of high school diploma, Associate of Arts/Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish)/ESL certification, preferred
- Three years of work experience in an early childhood setting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
