About The Role
The private baseball development industry is broken.
Pitching lessons, 3-day Clinics & 6-week Velo Programs don't create lasting results.
At Tread, we measure Athletes in years, not sessions.
Our Performance Coaches occupy a unique space in the player development world, training thousands of baseball players from High Schoolers to Perennial MLB All-Stars remotely, in addition to hundreds on-site in our state-of-the-art, 33,000 square foot Headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.
As our Assistant Director of Performance, you will serve in the Personnel Management function within our Performance Department helping to oversee, support, & unlock the full potential of our 40 Performance Coaches & counting…
You will maintain a constant pulse on issues within the Performance Department, build strong relationships with our staff, run Performance Reviews, analyze data/build systems to improve workflow, and assist with onboarding new coaches into the department.
You will help maintain the high standards we hold for our coaches – challenging them and supporting their professional and personal growth, in addition to upholding accountability to Tread's policies and expectations.
This role is about being an active problem-solver to improve employee and company outcomes, not a passive listener or an outlet for complaining. An exceptional candidate understands this distinction and will be able to maintain and build upon a culture of excellence, growth, and accountability.
