Corvian Community School is Hiring an Assistant Athletic Director Near Charlotte, NC
Timeline: For 2024-2025 school year. This is an 11-month positon starting in July 2024.
The Assistant Athletic Director will provide administrative support for the planning, direction, and implementation of athletic programs at Corvian. The Assistant Athletic Director will promote co-curricular athletic activity that fosters skill development, sportsmanship, understanding of sports, and appreciation of being a team member.
Responsibilities:
- Work with students, parents, faculty and administrators to organize home and away athletic events
- Assist in the selection and assignment of coaches and staff.
- Oversee officials and game-day staff
- Assist Athletic Director in payment for officials.
- Arrange and confirm bus or other transportation for athletic participants.
- Coordinate practice schedules for gym and fields.
- Help maintain electronic records for athletes
- Write and post alerts and/or messages to students, parents, and families in regard to athletic updates, cancellations, changes, etc.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director and Athletic Director.
- Bachelor’s degree in sports management, physical education or related field from an accredited college or university or relevant experience
