Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Intake Specialist. As an Intake Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and ensuring the smooth flow of operations in our dental office. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.

Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Collect patient information and update electronic medical records using Dentrix software
- Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring efficient use of dental providers' time
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
- Coordinate with medical receptionists to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the office
- Collaborate with the medical scheduling team to optimize appointment availability

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Proficiency in using Dentrix software or similar electronic medical record systems
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of phone systems and customer service best practices
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
