- Oversee & Manage dispatchers & schedulers performance.
- Oversee daily operations, trip performance measures, i.e. on-time performance, productivity, accidents, incidents, etc.
- Covers dispatch/scheduler shifts as needed
- Ensure company compliance is met & ensure all key performance measures are met
- Recommends dispatcher discipline.
- Respond to customer questions and concerns about no shows, cancellations, and missed trips
- Manage vehicle operator emergency situations & escalated calls
- Manage department reports and other communication tools
- Performs all other duties as assigned and may assist with other areas based on location needs.
- Minimum of 5 years transportation experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; Technical degree preferred.
- 5 years of Supervisory/Management experience
- Must possess ability to lead and motivate employees
- Experience dealing with union environments
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Problem solving and analytical abilities.
- Must be able to work flexible hours or shifts
