Summary:
Coordinates activities of clerical, customer service, warehouse, and driving personnel by
performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Primary Responsibilities:
Job duties may vary based on business needs but may result in generating, handling, packaging and/or inspection of hazardous waste, hazardous waste storage, and chemical materials. This can include responding or managing hazardous waste spills and incidents based on the site’s emergency action or contingency plan. These duties include preparing and managing hazardous waste records such as manifests, inspection logs, waste determination and other reports.
- Purchases all inventory for stock and directs shipments, coordinates shipments with suppliers and truck lines to maintain acceptable levels of inventory.
- NACD Document Coordination. Responsible for complying with and executing NACD regulations.
- Maintains NACD reports and forms.
- Assists in unloading and loading of trucks.
- Responding to or managing hazardous waste spills and incidents based on the site’s emergency action or contingency plan.
- Reviews proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
- Meets with visiting suppliers and sales representatives to negotiate contracts.
- Works to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
- Verifies credit standing of customer from information in files, and approves or disapproves credit, based on predetermined standards.
- Contacts past due accounts by mail or phone to attempt collection of money owed.
- Schedules product production, releases orders, and packages product.
- Completes and maintains required Company and governmental reports.
- Responsible for safety protocol and inspections.
- Ensures compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations.
- Coordinates customer site inspections and safety seminars.
- Directs and coordinates truck routing and delivery schedules.
- Responsible for truck maintenance and repairs and for warehouse maintenance.
- Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures such as typing, bookkeeping, preparation of payrolls, flow of correspondence, filing, requisition of supplies, and other clerical services.
- Approves invoices for payment.
- Assists District Manager and Salespeople with price quotations.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university
- 5-10 years related experience and/or training
- 2-4 years in a supervisory capacity
- Class A CDL preferred.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages 1-3 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 1-9 employees; drivers, warehouse and office personnel.
- Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as, but not limited to technical procedures, governmental regulations, business periodicals, and SOPs.

- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Familiar with metric conversions.
Reasoning Skills:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
