Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Local Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in the construction industry and facility management services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting our comprehensive facility management solutions in the local market. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of construction processes, facility management solutions and industry trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand our client base for facility management services.
  • Prospect and generate leads through cold calling, networking, in house provided leads, and referrals to expand the client base.
  • Conduct site visits, meetings, presentations to showcase our services and capabilities and tailor solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, contracts, and service agreements, negotiating terms and closing sales to drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Identify customer needs, assess project requirements, and provide customized solutions to meet client objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers and estimators, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, goals, and KPIs set by the company.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project details using HubSpot CRM software.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up to client’s post-sale to build long-term relationships and secure repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably in construction, facility management or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, terminology and/or facility management services, including janitorial and exterior maintenance services.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade decision-makers. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet sales targets and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred but not required.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, and goal-oriented mindset with a drive for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and team members.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving market trends and customer needs.
