**Position Description**

This position is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services to all departments in a manufacturing environment.

This position will support three plant locations in the Grand Rapids/Kentwood area. Travel between plants will be required.

**Essential Job Functions**

Assist with greeting and directing visitors.

Answer phone calls and take messages for appropriate parties.

Assist with inbound and outbound mailing.

Perform general office duties including ordering supplies, brand items, etc.

Actively support and organize employee engagement activities including birthday lunches, retirement celebrations, visitor luncheons and seasonal events.

Encourage and lead community outreach and engagement activities including employee volunteering opportunities, local fundraisers, and employment opportunities.

Assist the Human Resources department in various areas including recruiting, onboarding, and benefits.

Identify and resolve problems.

Work to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements.

Continuously strive for operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Other duties as assigned.

**Education, Experience & Skills**

High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED) is required.

Bachelor's degree in business or related field from an accredited college/ university is preferred.

1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines.

Strong analytical capabilities.

Strong interpersonal skills and independent problem resolution.

Data access/retrieval skills with experience in data analysis, data manipulation using MS Excel and/or other tools as provided.

Proficiency with Microsoft applications with emphasis on Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project

**Physical Requirements**

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone.

Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

Ability to lift up to 25lbs with or without accommodation.
