Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including Invoicing, A/P, A/R, payroll processing, The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be proficient in using accounting software.
Duties:
- Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and process payroll
- Perform data entry
- Support the accounting team with ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bookkeeping knowledge or accounting related field preferred
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
- Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Understanding of governmental accounting regulations is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
