We are seeking an experienced and highly organized and detail-oriented Conference Manager / Event Sales Manager to join our team at two our beautiful hotels in Georgetown, DC!

Job Summary:
The Conference Manager / Event Sales Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing conferences and events. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for creating memorable experiences.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute conferences and events from start to finish, including venue selection, catering arrangements, and event marketing
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, sponsors, and partners
- Manage event budgets and ensure financial goals are met
- Coordinate logistics such as registration, accommodations, transportation, and audiovisual needs
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events
- Oversee event setup, including signage, displays, and equipment
- Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth operations
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement

Experience:
- Previous experience in conference or event management is preferred
- Strong knowledge of catering, hospitality, and events management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to anticipate needs and provide solutions
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management
- Familiarity with fundraising strategies for events is a plus

Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines.
