The Township of Pine is looking for a motivated intern to help our Human Resources Department with administrative activities and various projects! Seasonal, Summer: Monday - Friday: Onsite Child Abuse Clearance Disclaimer: Successful candidate will be required to supply Pennsylvania State requested information to Township of Pine for processing of Child Abuse Clearance applications. Maintain strict adherence to corporate sensitive and employee confidentiality
Perform internal audit, provide recommendation, implement action
Develop intranet page for internal employees to use as informational resources
Transition paper files to HRIS
Provide clerical support, compose letters, develop forms and documents
Organize, develop or update document standards, including new employee files
Assist in the creation and implementation of policies, procedures and employee handbook material
Provide insight or assist with development of recruitment and streamlined onboarding process
Supporting employees by providing answers to their questions and addressing their issues
Facilitating the design and delivery of employee training programs on topics associated with their positions
Conduct exit interviews with employees to discover more about their reasons for leaving and how to optimize retention
Research, assist with design and implementation of the organization's health and wellness programs that tie into employee benefits packages, such as retirement savings plans, health insurance, etc.
Conduct interviews with job applicants for organizational positions
Organizing company events, including workshops, seminars, and employee conferences
Maintaining open and continual communication of employee matters with Human Resources
Suggest or draft newsletter content for internal or external stakeholders
Job Description reviews, suggestions and updates
Maintain applicant tracking data base
Participate in committee meetings
Willingness to perform other duties as assigned by other Township Leadership
Requirements:
Actively enrolled with institutional study for Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Leadership, Government or other related fields
0-1 year of experience in human resources, leadership, or government
Child Abuse Clearances as required by State of Pennsylvania
