Touchstone Mental Health is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist - Administration (Hybrid) Near Minneapolis, MN

Human Resources Generalist

Schedule: Monday through Friday weekdays

Location: Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis

Salary: $58,000 to $64,000

The Human Resources Generalistis a key member of the HR team, supporting 235 staff and supervisors across 6 residential programs and 5 community programs. 

Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition 
    • Liaise with hiring supervisors regarding postings and candidates
    • Manage job postings in HRIS system, Indeed and social media channels
    • Complete phone screens with candidates and/ or schedule interviews with hiring supervisors 
    • Maintain applicant database for evergreen positions
    • Collaborate with the Human Resources Coordinator to complete pre-employment processes and onboard new staff 
  • Leave Administration 
    • Liaise with staff needing FMLA or Personal Leave in compliance with FMLA statutes and agency practices 
    • Confirm benefit enrollments and payment of premiums while on FMLA or Personal Leave 
    • Confirm paid time off options available to staff on FMLA or Personal Leave 
    • Communicate claim process for short-term and long-term disability insurance with staff 
    • Update supervisors regarding staff absences and complete staff timecards as needed
    • Support staff and supervisors through the workers' compensation process
  • Benefits Administration 
    • Audit enrollments and resolve discrepancies of benefit invoices 
    • Collaborate with the Human Resources Coordinator regarding enrollment status of staff in the benefit plans 
    • Collaborate with the Payroll Coordinator regarding open enrollment for benefit plans 
    • Collaborate with the Human Resources Business Partner to process qualifying life events
    • Collaborate with the Director of Communications in promoting benefit plans and options in the staff newsletter 
  • Compensation Administration
    • Complete compensation analysis of non-exempt and exempt positions on an annual basis 
    • Complete market analysis of non-exempt and exempt positions on an ongoing basis 
    • Maintain pay grades for non-exempt and exempt positions 
    • Collaborate with the Payroll Coordinator in auditing FTE status of employees on a quarterly basis 
    • Liaise with supervisors regarding FTE status of employees on a quarterly basis 
    • Collaborate with the Human Resources Coordinator in processing position changes
  • Employment Engagement and Retention 
    • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that support belonging for all staff
    • Support the diversity, equity and inclusion committee and the staff wellness committee 
    • Collaborate with the Human Resources Business Partner to respond to staff questions
    • Provide first level response to supervisors regarding performance management concerns 
    • Collaborate with the Human Resources Coordinator to offboard staff 
  • Administration
    • Complete reporting for Affirmative Action Plan and EEO-1 Report on an annual basis 
    • Complete illness and injury recordkeeping forms (OSHA Log 300) on annual basis
    • Participate in the workers' compensation insurance audit on annual basis
    • Participate in the 401(k) retirement plan audit on annual basis
    • Compile data and complete an Human Resources scorecard, including turnover rates, on a quarterly basis 

Human Resources Generalist Requirements:

  • Three to five years of experience or education in a generalist role required 
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now desired 
  • Experience with a collaborative work environment desired
