Touchstone Behavioral Health is Hiring a Behavioral Health Specialist Near Phoenix, AZ

This position serves as a member of the Clinical Intake and Assessment Team of Touchstone Health Services (THS). Responsible for providing intake/assessment of children and families into the THS system of Care. Works collaboratively with every department in THS System of Care and provides excellent customer service both internally and externally. Serves as an expert of the THS System of Care when discussing services with children and families. Works with Intake/Assessment team on trainings related to diagnostic issues and works closely with every department in THS organization. Serves as the entry point clinician and strives to provide excellent customer services to the family served at THS. Works collaboratively and in good spirit with THS Referral team, Front Desk Team and Program Supervisors/Directors. Demonstrates good knowledge on the overall system of care and works diligently within the RBHA system to ensure good delivery of service. Remains flexible to ongoing daily intake needs and actively contributes positive influence to a growing department. Sets the tone of trust, cooperation and teamwork as a Touchstone service provider.

  • Serves as a member of the Clinical Intake/Assessment Team to promote positive culture, contributes ideas and solutions towards organizational growth, and supports organizational strategic initiatives.
  • Services as the expert of THS Services/Programs and works in accordance with expert service delivery.
  • Works fluidly and cooperatively with all THS Program Directors/Supervisors/Managers to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and experience.
  • Work with Asst. Clinical Director to ensure coverage for all walk in/mobile intakes are completed with quality
  • Works well within time frames of service delivery expectations and coordinates quality warm handoffs to departments within THS System of Care.
  • Work with Asst. Director/Referral team to evaluate the medical necessity, appropriateness, and efficiency of the use of health care services, procedures in the THS system of care. Makes such recommendations within this model of care.
  • Work with Directors/Supervisors in all departments to develop meaningful warm handoff system for members to the THS System of Care.
  • Develops a quality THS Member Service Plan, works with THS clinical programs in doing so.
  • Demonstrates planning, development and leadership along with the Asst. Clinical Director to the Intake/Assessment and Referral Department by ensuring that appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed.
  • Completes both quality and clinically effective intakes/assessments for THS members entering the continuum of care. Serves as the contact/liaison for members until warm handoff to THS clinical departments.
  • Find innovative ways to improve processes and workflows to improve productivity.
  • Participates in opportunities for staff growth, training and development.
  • Works closely with Asst. Director of Intake/Assessment and co-workers to ensure great customer service delivery into the THS System of Care.
  • May Review and approve clinical documentation of Behavioral Health Technicians for both Quality and Clinical Integrity.
  • Facilitates and improves collaboration and integration of Clinical Intake Team and Case Management Team as well as with other clinical teams and the rest of the organization.
  • Attends meetings or conference calls as appropriate with internal and outside agencies, engage in relationship building and provide professional representation as needed.
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • This position requires a Bachelors Degree and at least one (1) year experience providing behavioral health services; or an acceptable and equivalent combination of education and experience.; Must meet Agency requirements for Behavioral Health Technician. Master’s degree and license strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain level 1 fingerprint clearance card
  • Must have a valid AZ driver license
