Total Distribution, Inc. has an immediate opening in the Bayonne, NJ, area for full-time experienced Customer Service Representative to support our warehouse operation.

Day Shift Monday Through Friday

How you will contribute to the success of the company and grow your career:

• Process and input customer orders, both inbound and outbound.
• Create and monitor warehouse work requests.
• Monitor inbound/outbound material activity and print order labels based on customer requirements.
• Trace shipped orders and notify customers of all activity concerning their merchandise.
• Perform warehouse functions as requested, including opening and closing procedures.
• Run inventory reports to check for product availability.
• Check drivers in confirming they have a delivery appointment or that their outbound order is ready to shop.
• Print labels from system for inbound orders.
• Communicate appropriate handling of temperature sensitive shipments.
• Perform daily customer-specific reporting tasks.
• Engage with customers via phone, email or in person.
• Responsible for filing and data entry.
• Keep accurate records of customers’ material while at site and in transit.
• Adhere to the site’s quality and safety standards.

What you need to excel:

• Minimum of 3 years customer service experience.
• Minimum of 3 years working in a warehouse or equivalent environment preferred.
• Must be able to type at least 40 wpm.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Literacy in Microsoft Office programs and Google Docs and Sheets required.
• Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
• Basic understanding of databases.
• Prior data entry experience.
• Possesses professional phone and email etiquette.
• Capable of making sound judgment calls independently.
• Motivated to perform daily tasks without prompting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer and contract information.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to successfully pass background check and drug screening.

Job Type: Full-time
