The Supplier Sales Account Manager is the primary contact for building and maintaining strong customer relationships at the farm and plant levels. This individual will travel frequently for site visits to interact with customers. They will be responsible for promoting business growth, identifying and resolving service issues, proactively spotting areas for improvement, and working with our Sales team to gather intelligence to expand the scope of business. Eligible candidates will live in one of the following states: California, Florida, Arizona, or Texas.

Job Responsibilities:


Customer Management

  • Actively visit all supply chain stakeholders within the Produce industry to ensure the RPC program works effectively and efficiently. The primary focus is on the farm/plant locations but can also include retail distribution centers, salvage operations, and retail stores.
  • Manage new customer setup, forecasting, pricing, Accounts Receivable resolution, and outbound reporting.
  • Manage produce shifting between growing regions and end-of-season reconciliation.
  • Conduct scheduled face-to-face business reviews with all farm/plant locations.
  • Provide necessary training to all supply chain stakeholders to drive RPC program efficiencies.
  • Work with Tosca’s Customer Experience team to generate customer reports.
  • Work closely with Tosca wash facilities to ensure container availability and quality meet customer expectations.
  • Act as the “in-field” problem resolution specialist when and where required.
  • Deliver on budgeted revenue expectations for the produce supply chains.

Business Growth and Profitability Improvement Support

  • Work closely with the sales team member(s), who will also be engaged with existing suppliers to grow Tosca’s offering for other targeted retailers.
  • Proactively seek out opportunities for improvement across all aspects of the RPC program supply chain and work with supply chain stakeholders to implement such improvements.
  • Manage routine price changes based on customer-specific agreements and pricing structures.
  • Assist with program rollouts.

Transportation and Logistics Support

  • Work closely with Tosca’s Customer Solutions team to provide world-class customer service to all supply chain stakeholders, including developing customer-specific reports.
  • Obtain a clear understanding of our RPC movement and required transportation infrastructure to communicate with customers appropriately.
  • When required, communicate and coordinate RPC volume or size changes with Customer Solutions and Asset Management.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but equivalent experience and qualifications will be considered.
  • Must live in California, Florida, Arizona, or Texas.
  • Experience in the produce industry is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a customer account management role with strengths in operations, supply chain, logistics, and/or transportation environments is required.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite – PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong customer interfacing skills and excellent customer service experience are required via phone.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including face-to-face communication, phone, and email.
  • Proven ability to quickly build rapport and communicate internally and externally to gather information and foster positive customer relations across various levels of customer contact.
  • High level of organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Ability to think quickly, make decisions, and resolve issues promptly.
  • A high level of travel is expected for this position (50-75%).
