Torch Technologies is Hiring a Remote Entry Level Software Developer

Job Description:
  • Torch Technologies is currently seeking a passionate software developer who will help to build robust, commercial-level software deliverable products for government use.
  • The candidate will support software development to meet government customer needs and implement solutions to address software related cybersecurity requirements for a cloud-based execution environment.
  • The candidate will be part of a team applying rigorous software development standards to productize an existing analyst code base and suite of modeling and simulation tools, and to help in the development, testing, and integration of new modeling and simulation tools.

Qualified candidates will work within a collaborative team environment composed of government and supporting contractor personnel. The candidate will have excellent communication, organizational and technical writing skills.

A Bachelor's Degree or higher is required in software engineering or other related technical field and 0-2 years’ experience in software development. This position requires a final DoD secret security clearance to access classified information. Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or related technical field

0-2 years’ experience in commercial level coding skills in Python or Javascript

Familiar with robust software testing (unit and regression testing) and agile development environment and processes

Familiar in formal software engineering processes used in developing applications and productization of software

Familiar with user interface and user experience design best practices

Ability to collaboratively work with team members

Positive professional attitude and self-motivated

Active DoD secret clearance desired
