Aviation & Missile Solutions (AMS) is seeking a talented Junior Software Developer to develop and/or integrate radar algorithms and supporting analysis tools. Development activities will involve open-source software toolsets and may include but are not limited to algorithm development and analysis, real-time radar modeling and simulation, and visualization tools.

The developer will be part of a small, highly technical team leveraging modern software development methods. The developer should be comfortable in a fast-paced working environment, be a motivated self-starter, and an independent learner.
Required Experience:

Basic Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited school with a minimum of a 3.5 GPA.

Candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of concepts including object-oriented design, data structures, parallel algorithm development, distributed architecture development, and networking.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Candidate must have good verbal, written, and visual communication skills and be able to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.

Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs and traverse stairways.

Some limited travel and field test support will be required.

Other Qualifications:

Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge with:

Open Source Development Tools (GCC, CMake, Git, etc.)

C/C , Java, Rust, Matlab, Julia

Data Serialization Formats (Flatbuffers, Protocol Buffers, JSON, etc.)

GPU Programming (OpenCL, CUDA)

Experience with any of the following domains is a plus:

• Radar Systems
• Air and Missile Defense Systems

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
