Job Description

TLC is seeking a junior project estimator who is ready to jumpstart their career! You will be working alongside a group of professional estimators to assist in procuring work for the TLC Construction Department while building your knowledge and skills. We know that estimating isn t just about crunching numbers, it s the starting point for any construction project that supports our skilled crews and their families. If you are eager to learn and willing to grow, there s no limit to what you can do with TLC.

Job Requirements

• Bring at least one (1) year of prior experience with a mindset to grow and a willingness to learn.
• Assist the construction estimating team with the desire to learn how to create accurate and detailed quantity takeoffs.
• Prepare and manage bid packages and the associated bid forms.
• Will attend pre-bid meetings and site visits across the State of New Mexico.
• Have experience (and/or eagerness to learn more) in the use of InEight Estimate (Hard Dollar), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Be a team player with great communication and problem-solving skills.
• Develop comprehensive proposals that include project scope, materials, and pricing.
• Willingness to continue to grow in your knowledge of the industry and inner workings of TLC.
• Possess a strong work ethic and assist in maintaining a healthy working environment and upholding the company s purpose, mission, vision, and values.

Salary

$60,000- $80,000
