Times Square Alliance is Hiring a Maintenance Worker Near New York, NY
Times Square Alliance is looking for a skilled Maintenance Worker to assume responsibility for cleaning and repairs. The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for applying basic fixes to office furniture and ensure the surrounding is clean and functional.Being reliable, responsible and hardworking is important. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. The Maintenance Worker must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. This position reports to the Assistant Director, Office & Culture.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning activities including mopping in the kitchen, bathrooms, offices, hallways, locker rooms, etc.
- Setting up and breaking down office equipment, structure, conference rooms, etc. whenever there is a meeting or event
- Assemble office furniture
- Perform minor fixes such as putting together- and repairing broken furniture
- Emptying trash cans
- Cleaning office glass walls/doors and partitions
- Painting
- Report issues to Assistant Director, Office & Culture
- At times, perform functions of a Sanitation Worker (sweeping, dumping, event set up/breakdown outdoors in all types of weather)
- Perform other related duties as required (e.g., going to the store, moving equipment for external meetings, work during company events along with the Sanitation department)
Requirements
- Proven experience
- Should be versed and knowledge with cleaning protocols as recommended from local and federal laws (will be trained on this)
- Basic knowledge and experience using hand and electrical tools
- Basic technology skills a plus
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity, must be able to carry 50lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent.
