Position Summary 

We are seeking two dedicated and skilled Maintenance Workers to join our team. The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for our staff and visitors.

The Maintenance Worker will primarily work indoors and outdoors, with exposure to various weather conditions. The job may require occasional weekend or evening work for emergencies or special projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform Routine Maintenance:

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure efficient operation.

Repair and Troubleshoot:

• Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues.
• Fix or replace faulty electrical switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
• Repair or replace broken doors, windows, and building components.
• Address minor carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.

Groundskeeping:

• Maintain the exterior of the facility, including lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal.
• Clean and maintain walkways, parking areas, and outdoor facilities.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
• Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Report any safety issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment manuals.
• Track inventory of supplies and equipment; reorder supplies as necessary.

Collaboration:

• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services.
• Assist other departments with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed. 

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Worker or similar role.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy equipment up to 50 pounds and work in various conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification is a plus.
• Must be able to cover nightshift if required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a commercial or institutional setting.
• Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers and snow blowers.
