Position: The Maintenance Worker III The Maintenance Worker III is responsible for the overall maintenance of the facility. This role must be available for emergencies. Horizon Program, comprised of scattered-site apartments located in the Bronx, enables single adults and families to live independently within in the community, as self-sufficiently as possible. Basic computer skills. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:S-12: City Wide Sprinkler Systems / S-11 Residential Sprinkler SystemsS-13: City Wide Standpipe SystemsS-95: Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems and other related systemsP-98: Fuel-oil Piping and Storage SystemsF-80: Coordinator of Fire Safety and Alarm Systems in Homeless Shelters Maintenance Worker III Principal Responsibilities: Recruit, train and supervise maintenance staff.Prepare and carry out a preventative maintenance plan which includes all fire safety, OSHA, and other systems requirements.Manage work orders. Track property maintenance, work orders, inventory, and purchases in computerized maintenance system.Respond to emergency calls outside regular work hours.Assist in preparation of capital budget.Ensure all Regulatory inspections are performed on time and filed.
