Tilley Workforce Solutions is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near Chesterfield, MO

Are you a HR Leader Jazzed by Growth? 
Our client, the leading agriculture company in Canada, has expanded to the United States. 
They currently have five locations and will continue to grow. 
They are hiring their first US HR Manager to provide professional human resources consultation to all
 United States (US) operations.
This includes all union and non-union locations and the US
Country office. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for recruitment, labor and
employee relations, labor negotiations, disability management, policy development &
interpretation and providing support & advice to managers on various human resources topics.
This position is FT onsite in their new Chesterfield office and part of the Canadian department.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to be the first US HR leader in a growing company who will have the full support of the Canada HR office.
Do Not Apply unless you are local to the Greater St. Louis area and willing to work FT onsite and travel as needed and meet the qualifications
  • Supports managers in union/labor relations activities including addressing/resolving
    grievances, arbitration preparation and negotiating collective agreements
  • Works with Assistant Vice-President, Human Resources and operations leaders to lead collective bargaining for US unionized locations
  • Sources and analyzes relevant data to support collective bargaining
  • Develops and implements recruitment strategies for management, individual contributors anddifficult-to-fill positions
  • Participates in recruitment activities and development of US recruitment strategy & brandingin conjunction with the Organizational Development team
  • Participates in interviews of external candidates for management level positions
  • Provides employee relations support to leaders in non-unionized environments across the USincluding disciplinary issues/ terminations; prepares documentation and participates in meetings as required
  • Educates managers on compensation administration to ensure appropriate compensationpractices. Analyzes local wage trends to develop solid understanding of local employment markets.
  • Supports annual salary review and bonus processes
  • Manages annual performance review process for US operations and corporate staff; coaches and trains managers to ensure effectiveness
  • Responsible for responses to all EEOC queries and complaints, including preparation ofevidence packages for adjudication
  • Manages disabilities and return to work programs; coaches managers to support programobjectives
  • Conducts exit interviews with departing employees
  • Tracks and analyzes HR data to measure program effectiveness, determine trends, and makerecommendations to address issues
  • Analyzes turnover information, reviewing trends and provides suggestions to improveretention when appropriate
  • Develops and interprets HR policies; coordinates with HR management team to ensureconsistency across the organization, where appropriate
  • Supports succession planning process for US employees
  • Trains managers on HR policies & proceduresParticipates in management team meetings
  • Participates in or leads HR department projects, as assigned

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration orrelated field
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience working in a generalist human resources capacity as aHuman Resources Manager or Business Partner
  • 3-5 years’ experience preparing for and leading labor negotiations required
  • Experience working in unionized environments required
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry required
  • Experience in employee relations & disability management required
  • Experience supporting decentralized locations an asset
  • SHRM Accreditation preferred
Exceptional communication skills, professionalism and ability to lead independently within the collaboration of the greater team
