Job Title: Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist ($25.50 per hour)
Department: : Finance
Reports to: Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist role handles the processing of payment and payable transactions for Thrive Foods. Duties include daily bookkeeping, record keeping, and the preparation of tax reports to vendors. The Accounts Payable Specialist will reconcile and verify invoices for processing of payment.
- An extensive knowledge of financial procedures is required. Other duties may be assigned that pertain to the classification.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. College degree is preferred.
- Complete understanding of company’s chart of accounts and the correct classification of vendor invoices.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and some fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 5% or more sitting,5% or more walking, and 5% or more standing.
- The job is performed under frequent temperature variations and in a food manufacturing warehouse environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift to 30 lbs. is required.
