Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Studio Assistant to join our team. As a Studio Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with sales, and ensuring the smooth operation of our studio. You will act as the Person in Charge for the duration of event and production bookings.
Time management is essential to this role. Our studio is booked by appointment only and our entire business depends on the studio being ready in time for our clients' event or production to be successful.

Duties:
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide studio information and answer any questions or concerns
- Operate sound and lighting systems
- Ensure the safety of the studio and our guests
- Demonstrate proper techniques for decor display and ensure guests are adhering to these techniques
- Maintain cleanliness of all studio areas before and after bookings including sweeping, mopping, trash, and bathrooms
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly
- Lead pre-event setup including building stage, moving furniture, setting up pipe & drape, etc.
- Anticipate and attend to the unique needs of production and event clients.
You will be trained to operate all in-house equipment including sound system, microphones, and lighting.
Minimum Experience:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with customers
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Background in events or productions, especially Office PA or Key PA
Preferred Experience:
- Social media, marketing, and direct outreach
- Ability to speak Chinese is a major plus but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Comfortable on ladders up to 12'
- Ability to reach company location via public transportation. Our locations are off the L train at Jefferson and Bedford.
- Evening, Night, and Weekend availability
We cannot guarantee any number of hours per week as we are booked by appointment only. You can help increase your hours by bringing in new business and taking the initiative to perform relevant direct outreach.
