Job description
Position Summary:
The Assistant Day Habilitation Manager teaches skills to the Program participants. Responsible for developing daily activities and schedules and assists with all related activities in the Day Hab Program. This position reports directly to the Program Manager and assists with the Day Hab Program operations.
Essential Job Functions:
· Assists with the management of the Program and supervision of the DSP’s.
· Oversees and directs staff to address consumer needs and promote engagement.
· Schedules staff and substitutes.
· Reviews daily notes.
· Implements person centered planning for all individuals with special needs attending the Day Habilitation Program.
· Assists with daily services for individuals for quality assurance.
· Ensures a healthy and safe environment for both individuals and staff members.
· Fosters a high level of community engagement for all participants.
· Assists participants in attaining the optimal level of independence.
· Ensures legal compliance with DDD regulations, and client Individual Service Plans.
· Completes all required documentation and reporting of services.
· Compiles and review incident reports and completes any follow up needed to ensure health and welfare of participants.
· Assists in the transition of new participants.
· Works closely with parents and other family members to ensure person centered service delivery.
· Ensure that all programs should be stimulating, fun and should be executed at an appropriate level for the individuals participating in that program.
· All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
· 5-10 years of experience working with young adults with special needs.
· 3-5 years working in a management-level position in the field of I/DD.
· Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field preferred.

· The employee will perform job duties in a Day Hab Program setting.
Language Skills:
· Ability to read and interpret written documents
· Ability to speak effectively in front of group of 10 or more people.
Computer Skills:
· Strong knowledge of software applications.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including with MS Excel.
Reasoning Ability:
· Ability to reason with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Salary: $20.00 - $24.00
Schedule: Monday - Friday
8am - 3pm
7-hour shift
No Weekends
Experience:
Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
Driver's License (Preferred)
CPR Certification (Preferred)
