Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fundraising and Marketing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fundraising and marketing initiatives, with a proven track record of successfully developing and implementing strategies to increase donor engagement, drive revenue growth, and enhance brand awareness. This role requires a creative thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders to achieve fundraising goals and elevate our organization's visibility in the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Donor Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and prospective supporters through personalized communication, stewardship activities, and donor appreciation initiatives.
  • Grant Writing and Management: Research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals and applications to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. Manage grant reporting requirements and ensure compliance with grant terms.
  • Fundraising Campaigns: Plan, execute, and evaluate four (4) fundraising campaigns and events, including online crowdfunding, peer-to-peer fundraising, gala dinners, and other special events.
  • Employee Events: Plan, execute, and evaluate four (4) employee events a year.
  • Marketing and Branding: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote fundraising initiatives, increase brand visibility, and attract new supporters. Create marketing materials, including print collateral, digital content, and social media campaigns. Create and develop program marketing materials, including print collateral with Program Manager for Inclusion events held every three (3) months.
  • Digital Fundraising: Utilize digital platforms and technologies to optimize online fundraising efforts, including email marketing, social media fundraising, and crowdfunding platforms; including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze fundraising and marketing metrics to measure performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making. Prepare regular reports for internal stakeholders and board members.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Identify and pursue opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborations with other organizations, businesses, and community groups to expand fundraising reach and impact.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for fundraising and marketing initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure fundraising activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards, including adherence to fundraising best practices and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification in Fundraising or Marketing is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, or related roles, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing fundraising campaigns, securing grants, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, board members, and community partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in grant writing, copywriting, and content creation for marketing materials.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including email marketing software, social media management tools, and website analytics.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge of fundraising regulations, ethical standards, and best practices, including familiarity with donor databases and CRM systems.
  • Passion for the mission and values of the organization, with a dedication to making a positive impact in the community.

Hours are 15 to 25 per week depending on event schedule.
