We have two locations, one in The Woodlands and one in Montgomery, TX. Although this position is mainly at The Woodlands location, this candidate must be willing and able to travel to the Montgomery location on an occasional basis if needed.

*Pre-Med, Pre-PA students seeking to gain hands on experience or experienced Dermatology Medical Assistant needed for a Medical Assistant/Scribe position within our large Dermatology Clinic are encouraged to apply.

The Medical Assistant will assist the physician with all aspects of patient care as well as scribe medical records on an iPad/PC in real-time during the patient encounter. They will create an atmosphere that reflects the level of standards and care that patients can expect to receive from this practice. To be successful in this position, the assistant must be motivated, pays close attention to detail, be excellent with time management, maintains a professional appearance and manner at all times. They will be able to communicate with the physician/patient and be mindful of patient confidentiality. The medical assistant will be able to evaluate and respond to the patient's needs and relay the doctor's instructions. Our physicians see about 30-40 patients a day each. This is a large practice and this person should feel comfortable working in a large setting with multiple co-workers and providers.

Job duties include but not limited to:

Rooming patients, reviewing medical history, scribing visit notes into EMR( we use EMA), assisting the physician with exam/treatment/surgery, patient education, patient callbacks with biopsy results, submitting lab orders, and prior authorizations.

*Recommended: 1 year experience Medical Assistant, 1 year experience working with an EMR system, 1 year experience scribing.
