Purpose of Role: The Area Sales Manager is responsible for managing sales, support and service for all products to all clients within the defined territory in accordance with company policies and procedures. They will have broad in-depth knowledge of the products and the markets, basic understanding of commercial terms and conditions and strong negotiation skills.
THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION BASED IN TEXAS. REPORTING TO THE US SALES DIRECTOR - POWER AND INDUSTRIAL OUT OF CHARLOTTE, NC.

Key Responsibilities:
* Focus Area: Prepare territory plans and estimates, reporting weekly on orders and activities while visiting customers as per the call plan.
* Focus Area: Manage quotations/tenders, administer orders, and develop key account relationships to meet or surpass order targets
* Focus Area: Proactively prospect new business, monitor competitors, manage local representatives/distribution companies and identify solutions for product or process quality issues.
* Focus Area: Maintain records via Salesforce, promote a customer-focused attitude, communicate effectively with the Regional Sales Director, and adhere to company policies and procedures while handling special projects as needed.
* Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree: Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent job related experience required.
* 5 years of technical and direct sales experience.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus Notes, and Salesforce is a plus.
* Direct experience with IBM System AS/400 highly desired.
