Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a culinary leader with a passion for creating exceptional dishes and managing kitchen operations efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, production, and presentation
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Develop and update menu items, ensuring variety and quality
- Manage inventory levels and control food costs effectively
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with management to plan catering events and special menus
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen setting
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide kitchen staff
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices
- Ability to manage food service operations efficiently, including inventory control
- Proficiency in food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and vendors
- Experience in bartending or catering is a plus
- Degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field is preferred
