The Vertex Companies Inc. is Hiring a Human resource assistant Near Weymouth, MA

Job Description

VERTEX is on the move, and we are expanding our corporate HR team to support our continued company growth. We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join us as a Human Resources Assistant , supporting our Corporate Human Resources team.

This is the perfect opportunity to develop your HR knowledge and skills as you support our team. You will provide administrative support for the efficient operation of our HR and Talent Acquisition programs.

You will be exposed to a wide variety of HR and recruiting programs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in the HR process by coordinating background screenings and administer the new hire paperwork and onboarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, attendance, and performance evaluations.
  • Prepare and process HR documentation including transition letters, personal action forms, new hire and termination paperwork.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives (employee surveys, office activities, etc.).
  • Use Microsoft Excel to create and manage multiple HR reports.
  • Take and help with requests / HR questions from various sources (telephone, email, etc) including employment verifications, etc.
  • Engage in other HR processes and projects that support our employee life cycle and company culture.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School degree required, some college a plus.
  • Prior experience in an HR support role a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Good excel spreadsheet skills required and enjoys working with it.
  • Proactive and able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Team player with a collaborative and positive attitude.
