Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the operations of our business. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in management.
Duties:
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash registers
- Ensure the store is properly stocked and merchandise is displayed effectively
- Assist with employee orientation, training, and development
- Assist with recruiting and interviewing potential candidates
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues or complaints
- Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement strategies to drive sales and meet targets
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and organizing stock
- Support the Manager in analyzing sales data and making recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager or similar role preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and operating POS systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Knowledge of inventory management principles
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of employees
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
