The Texan Stores is Hiring a Food Service Manager Near Yorktown, TX

Welcome to The Texan! We’re on mission to be the best convenience retailer and restaurant in the communities we serve and are looking for highly motivated and detail-oriented people to join our team. We are currently hiring for the following leadership position:
Food Service Manager – This position is responsible for tactical execution and leadership of the food service program. Ultimately, the position will be accountable for successful implementation of food service safety and quality, expense control, guest service, and overall growth and profitability of food service operations.
The ideal candidate will be an engaging, self-motivated, and results-oriented leader with the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to make rock-solid business decisions while impacting and influencing a diverse and geographically dispersed team.
Some specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Coaches and develops store employees on food service operations
  • Effectively communicates and ensures compliance with food service standards and protocols
  • Oversees and manages day-to-day operations of the food service program
  • Evaluates and positively impacts performance of food service employees and consults with store leadership team to hold team members accountable
  • Coordinates with other company departments and support services (e.g. maintenance, pricebook, HR) to ensure the smooth and successful operation of the food service program
  • Analyzes, identifies, and takes action to correct deficiencies and improve food service operations
  • Trains, monitors, and drives effective inventory management and ordering practices
