Description

Hotel Indigo is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Catering Sales Manager to join our team. As a Catering Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating revenue through the sale of banquet space, catering services, and meeting packages. You will work closely with clients to understand their event needs and provide tailored solutions to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for banquet space, catering services, and meeting packages.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, networking, and building relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other potential customers.
• Respond promptly to inquiries, conduct site visits, and prepare proposals and contracts for events.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create customized menus that meet the specific needs and preferences of clients.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments, including operations and banquet services, to ensure seamless execution of events.
• Conduct regular competitor analysis to stay informed about market trends, pricing strategies, and industry best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and revenue forecasts using the hotel's CRM system.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, from initial contact to post-event follow-up.
• Represent Hotel Indigo at industry events, trade shows, and community gatherings to promote the venue and build brand awareness.
• Stay updated on hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure compliance at all times.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
• Proven track record of success in catering sales, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
• IHG Experience Preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas and information clearly and persuasively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using CRM software.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Knowledge of local market trends and customer preferences is preferred.
