Overview

Our direct client has an immediate need for an advanced Python Developer to work REMOTE on a Federal program based in Washington, DC. In this role, you will work closely with the product owners to understand business objectives and determine data and software development needs.

Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders with a 5-year residency requirement and be able to pass the client's background check.

Responsibilities

• Work with Functional Implementation Architect on solution design
• Coordinate with interfacing applications
• Drive development approach, review development work products to verify accuracy and alignment with expected results, coordinate deployment and production validation activities
• Oversee sprint team members, track milestones for completion, verify SOPs and QA processes are followed, escalate risks, and provide regular status to product owners
• Provide functional and/or technical expertise to plan, analyze, define, and support the delivery of future functional and technical capabilities for an application or group of applications
• Assist in facilitating impact assessment efforts and in producing and reviewing estimates for client work requests

Qualifications

• 7 years of Python experience
• 3 years of experience with the following:
  • Databricks
  • Java
  • Spark
• Experience and knowledge of Scala
• Bachelor’s Degree
