Job Summary
The Retail Operations Manager provides dynamic leadership and hands-on oversight of the retail store's operations. With a primary focus on integrating and managing store and e-commerce initiatives, the Retail Manager actively engages in team management, ensuring the implementation of effective e-commerce strategies, and working towards the seamless execution of an omnichannel shopping experience for customers. This role encompasses the day-to-day tasks of leading, strategizing, and optimizing operations to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales in both physical and online environments.
The Retail Manager effectively communicates priorities to the CEO, providing guidance and information to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
· Hires and trains store associates.
· Organizes and oversees the schedules and performance of store associates.
· Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
· Maintains and motivates a positive sales team through communication, incentives, and evaluations.
· Confirms daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies.
· Addresses customer needs and resolves issues, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships.
· Plans, organizes, and coordinates sales, marketing, and budgeting.
· Develops, oversees, and maximizes retail budget and product inventory, purchasing, and sales.
· Collaborates with owners to develop, coordinate, and identify cost-effective advertising and hiring strategies.
· Uses company software to research, analyze, and track purchases.
· Ensures that the store always looks clean and inviting.
· Places and rotates merchandise to attract positive attention from customers.
· Analyzes existing website traffic and internet activity related to the company and products.
· Develops innovative strategies to attract customers to the company's brand through various web-based marketing programs and search engine optimization (SEO) techniques.
· Identifies appropriate social media platforms and other web-based tools to use in the promotion of each product or service.
· Oversees the implementation of online marketing plans; compiles and analyzes data to measure the effectiveness of such plans.
Requirements
Requirements:
· High school diploma (Required), Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (Preferred).
· 2 years of Retail experience.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Organized with attention to detail.
· Works well under pressure and deadlines; ability to multitask.
· Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate staff.
· Excellent customer service abilities.
· Must have reliable transportation.
· Ability to develop and maintain budgets.
· Thorough understanding of company policies and practices.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
· Bending, stooping, reaching.
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times.
