· Develop foundational knowledge of Phoenix’s products, systems, processes, and customers through hands-on work in customer service, operations, analytics, and other aspects of the business.

· Learn Phoenix’s business from the ground up through extensive customer interaction and product training to prepare for a future within the organization.

· Work on cross-functional projects to understand general business practices.

· Actively review and analyze business reports and data to drive organizational growth and continuous operational improvement.

· Gain skills and insight by interacting with top leaders and hands-on executive exposure.

Initial Duties and Responsibilities.

-Serve as the initial and primary point of contact for Phoenix Lighting to customers and potential customers. Proactively foster relationships with both internal and external customers so that customer service remains a key competitive advantage for Phoenix Lighting.

· Receive phone calls to Phoenix Products. Answer technical inquiries or refer to appropriate Phoenix employee. Respond to customer phone calls and emails in a timely fashion. Utilize internal resources to provide timely responses to custom product and application questions.

· Collect details of sales opportunities to optimize outcomes of quotations.

· Initiate and monitor the order fulfillment process from receipt of PO through invoicing. Proactively communicate any order updates to the customer and Phoenix Regional Sales Manager. Document critical information in the customer sales database and keep customer database current.

· Provide accurate pricing, lead times, product details and basic troubleshooting to the customer.

· Identify sales opportunities and provide necessary sales support to customers, representatives, and Regional Sales Managers in response to sales opportunities or quotation requests.

· Handle technical or complex service questions from customers and apply judgment in resolving service, warranty or technical problems falling within established limits of authority and knowledge.

· Receive customer purchase orders and enter orders into the system. Monitor backlog of orders to ensure on-time shipment and communicate updates to customer.

· Ensure pricing continuity across and within distribution channels.

· Refer sales leads and all background information to the appropriate distribution outlet or Phoenix Regional Sales Manager.

· Communicate with Phoenix Regional Sales Managers, Product Managers and Production team regarding custom/complex requests, questions, or orders.

· Generate all necessary documents for shipment. Includes shipping documents and engineering documents.

· Arrange or facilitate freight as required by customer.

· Complete daily and month-end invoicing of shipped orders.

Requirements:

· Business-related bachelor’s or associate degree (within 12 months of graduation).

· Ability to multitask with proven ability to learn quickly.

· Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· 1-3 years of customer service experience.

· Organizational Skills

· ERP system and CRM system experience a plus

· Microsoft systems experience.
