Brown CorpsPosition Type: Seasonal Full-Time/HourlyPay Range: $24.00/hour This seasonal position is scheduled to start working approximately July 1, 2024, and will end no later than August 5, 2024. The typical schedule is Monday - Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm * subject to change.About this opportunity:This position is responsible for under the general supervision of the Corps Officer, the Seasonal Support Worker is responsible for providing students with individualized assistance to help them learn new concepts and complete assignments. Their duties include studying lesson plans and reviewing textbooks to prepare for a lesson, assigning additional projects and answering a student’s questions about a topic. Provides tutoring and assistance to the after-school programs for the Corps including youth club programs; summer/day camp; recommends creative and innovative ideas for program development. Plans, develops, schedules, coordinates, facilitates, and monitors a variety of lesson plans, recreational activities, events, and trips to meet the needs and interests of specific groups participating in Salvation Army programs.Key responsibilities:Supports classroom-centered activities, and as such, the emphasis and content of the tutoring sessions is determined by the student's needs.Plans, promotes, coordinates, and facilitates activities on a regular basis to include recreational, entertaining, educational, and/or devotional topics. Monitors all programs to ensure needs of special interest groups are met and to ensure compliance with established activity plans as well as The Salvation Army What we are looking for in you:High School diploma or G.E.D.
