POSITION DETAILS:
Under the general supervision of the Program Coordinator and/or Program Manager, the Family Support Worker is responsible for conducting home visits, documenting interactions between children and family members during visits and reporting issues, concerns and/or questions to the Program Coordinator and/or Program Manager. The incumbent identifies and coordinates referrals on a wide variety of community-based resources and services for families. The incumbent provides a wide variety of administrative functions to include but is not limited to: case planning/management, filing various materials for inclusion into client records; producing a variety of reports and documents; and completing necessary forms. The incumbent works evenings and/or weekend hours to accommodate the needs of program participants. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· BA degree in Social Work/Social Science (preferred) or related field of study, or a combination of related education and experience
· One-year experience in Social Services or related field preferred
· Excellent problem solving, analytical, organizational and communication skills required
· Ability to prioritize work according to organizational demands and established timelines
· Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
