UCLA is ranked as one of the world's best public higher education institutions. Compensation Services in Campus Human Resources is charged with administering salary programs for the world class staff who are employed by UCLA. In collaboration with department leadership and Human Resources professionals, the Compensation Consultant provides a full range of compensation services to assigned client organizations. The scope of duties includes compensation analysis and job evaluation services in support of campus client departments; assisting the Director in revising, designing and delivering compensation strategy and training for a variety of audiences; providing advice on application of policies and procedures related to classification and compensation; conducting market studies; performing data collection and providing analysis to support requests. The Compensation Consultant provides outstanding customer service to campus partners while working in a collegial and collaborative manner; participates as a member of the HRIS initiatives project team and supports other compensation related projects with the Compensation team and/or internal and external clients.
Salary & Compensation: *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common.   • Demonstrated experience and expert capability in the classification of positions using a variety of job evaluation systems. (Required)
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering consultation and training in a manner that improved compensation literacy for the organization. (Required)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of compensation and job evaluation theories, practices and systems; applicable wage and hour laws and regulations. (Required)
  • Thorough knowledge of salary survey methodologies and market analysis. (Required)
  • Ability to interpret and explain laws, policies, procedures and guidelines to campus departments and employees. (Required)
Education, Licenses, Certifications, & Professional Affiliations:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education andexperience. (Required)
